About this game
A junkyard scrap robot has carried the inventor to the top of a scrapyard tower, and you climb after her past barrels, conveyor belts and fireballs. Clear all three boards and the loop restarts at a higher level with faster hazards and a quicker bonus clock.
Goal: Reach the inventor at the top of the board, or pull every rivet on the Rivets board, before the bonus timer runs out; whatever bonus is left is added to your score.
Barrel Blitz is an original arcade climber built for the browser in the style of 1980s arcade cabinets: pixel art, a chiptune soundtrack and CRT scanlines, all generated in code. It is free, has no ads and needs no download or account.

Tips
- With the hammer, smashing a barrel or pie scores 300 and a fireball scores 500, but you cannot jump or climb until it wears off.
- Barrels are much more likely to drop down a ladder when you are standing near its foot, so step away from ladders while one rolls above you.
- Only blue barrels that roll into the oil drum set off a new fireball, and fireballs cannot use broken ladders.
