About this game
Jam Hoops is side-view two-on-two basketball with short quarters and no fouls. You time jump shots by releasing at the top of the jump, spend turbo on dunks and shoves, and a player who scores three straight baskets catches fire.
Goal: Outscore the other team over four 45-second quarters; in the league, win all five games to become champions.
Jam Hoops is an original basketball game built for the browser in the style of 1980s arcade cabinets: pixel art, a chiptune soundtrack and CRT scanlines, all generated in code. It is free, has no ads and needs no download or account.

- A D-pad on the left moves your player, with Shoot, Pass and Turbo buttons on the right; tap the game clock to pause.
- Round length
- A game of four 45-second quarters takes about 4-5 minutes, so a full five-game league takes 20-25 minutes.
Tips
- Release Shoot right at the top of the jump for a Perfect shot, which adds a sizeable boost to the chance of scoring.
- When your teammate has the ball, press Shoot to make them shoot or Pass to have them pass it back to you.
- A player on fire has unlimited turbo and makes most shots, even from the logo, for the next four baskets, so feed that player the ball.

Can I play Jam Hoops with a friend?
Yes, on one keyboard. Choose 2P Versus on the title screen; player 1 uses the arrows or WASD with Z, X and C, and player 2 uses IJKL with N, M and comma.
How do you get on fire in Jam Hoops?
Have one player score three baskets without the other team scoring in between. It ends after four more of that player's baskets or as soon as the opponents score.
