About this game
Pixel Golf is mini golf seen from the side, so the ball arcs through the air, bounces off walls and rolls down slopes. The nine holes run from Fairway to Summit, with a rising Elevator platform, a sliding platform over the Chasm and a full loop-the-loop.
Goal: Finish all nine holes in as few strokes as possible; the course par is 34 and your best round total is saved.
Pixel Golf is an original mini golf game built for the browser in the style of 1980s arcade cabinets: pixel art, a chiptune soundtrack and CRT scanlines, all generated in code. It is free, has no ads and needs no download or account.
What’s inside
- One 9-hole course: Fairway, The Ridge, Splash, Bumper Alley, Windmill, Elevator, Loop, Chasm and Summit
- Course par of 34, with a saved best round
- Players
- 1 player
- On a phone
- Drag back from anywhere on the screen and release, like a slingshot: the direction sets the aim and the drag length sets the power. The Pause and Retry buttons sit at the right end of the top bar.
- Round length
- A full 9-hole round takes about 5-10 minutes.
Tips
- Until you touch the arrow keys the aim swings back and forth on its own, so press an arrow first if you want to hold an exact angle.
- Power rises for 0.8 seconds while you hold Space and then falls back, so release at the peak for a full-power shot.
- Sand nearly stops the ball dead, and water costs a stroke and returns you to where you last hit from.
Questions
What happens if my ball goes in the water in Pixel Golf?
You take a one-stroke penalty and the ball goes back to the spot of your last shot.
How do I aim on a phone in Pixel Golf?
Touch anywhere and drag away from where you want the ball to go, then let go; a longer drag hits harder.
