About this game
Alley Fury is a walk-right-and-fight brawler across four night-time stages, each ending in a boss fight. Pick one of five fighters with their own weapon, reach and speed, including the guest hero Volt, a lineman with jump jets and a headlamp beam.
Goal: Clear every wave and beat each stage's boss; knocking out gang members and bosses, eating noodles and grabbing loot all add to your score.
Alley Fury is an original action game built for the browser in the style of 1980s arcade cabinets: pixel art, a chiptune soundtrack and CRT scanlines, all generated in code. It is free, has no ads and needs no download or account.

- 1-2 players on one keyboard or with gamepads, and a second player can join mid-game by pressing 2; on a phone, 1 player.

- On a phone you get an on-screen d-pad with ATK, JMP and SPC buttons and a pause button at the bottom centre, and tapping open space attacks.
- Round length
- A full run through all four stages takes roughly 15-20 minutes.
Tips
- Your three-hit combo only carries on while each hit connects, and the third hit does double damage and knocks the enemy down.
- The spin special costs a little health, but nothing can hit you while you spin, so save it for when you are surrounded.
- Normal attacks swat Lobber bottles out of the air, and Volt's beam knocks down every enemy in his lane ahead of him, right to the screen edge, and destroys their shots in that line.
Questions
Can I play Alley Fury with a friend?
Yes. Player 1 uses WASD with F, G and H; player 2 uses the arrow keys with comma, period and slash. With two players more enemies come in each wave and bosses have 50 percent more health.
How do I get into the secret room?
After one random non-boss wave per stage a manhole opens with a Secret sign. Stand on it before the next wave starts. Collect all 24 pieces of loot for 5,000 points and an extra life.
