About this game

Frost Push puts a yeti cub in a walled ice field packed with blocks. A pushed block slides until it hits something, flattening any Snowbite in its path, while a block that cannot move cracks and then shatters on a second push. Snowbites hatch from eggs frozen inside random blocks.

Goal: Clear each level by crushing every Snowbite and dealing with every egg, scoring more for chained crushes, the diamond line and a quick finish.

Frost Push is an original ice-block puzzle built for the browser in the style of 1980s arcade cabinets: pixel art, a chiptune soundtrack and CRT scanlines, all generated in code. It is free, has no ads and needs no download or account.

  • Time bonus of 50 points per second under 60
  • 3 lives, plus an extra life at 30,000 and every 50,000 after

Tips

  • One sliding block can crush several Snowbites in a row: the first is worth 400, the second 800, the third 1,200, and Ice Wisps pay 50 percent more.
  • Pushing against the outer wall makes it buzz and stuns any Snowbite close to that wall for 3 seconds; walking into a stunned one squashes it for 100.
  • An egg block flickers with cracks just before it hatches; shatter it first by pushing it twice in quick succession while it is blocked, for 500 points.

Questions

Can diamond blocks be broken in Frost Push?

No. Diamond blocks slide like ice but never crack, so plan their pushes carefully.

Where do the Snowbites come from?

They hatch on a timer from eggs hidden in random ice blocks. The Snowbites counter in the side panel includes eggs that have not hatched yet.
