About this game
Tank Trax puts you in a yellow tank guarding a core at the bottom of the arena while enemy tanks roll in from the top corners. Brick cracks after two shells, steel stops everything, and bushes hide whatever drives under them.
Goal: Destroy every enemy tank in each wave without losing your lives or letting shells reach the core.
Tank Trax is an original tank arena shooter built for the browser in the style of 1980s arcade cabinets: pixel art, a chiptune soundtrack and CRT scanlines, all generated in code. It is free, has no ads and needs no download or account.

- Early waves take 1-2 minutes each; a full game usually lasts 5-15 minutes.
Tips
- Hunters steer toward you and heavy tanks head for the core, so take out heavies first when the base is under pressure.
- Every fourth kill drops a power-up, and it disappears after about 10 seconds, so go and collect it.
- Your shells cancel enemy shells head-on, which lets you shoot down a shot aimed at you or the core.
Questions
What happens when the core is hit in Tank Trax?
You lose a life, the brick walls around the core are rebuilt, and the wave carries on. The game ends when your lives reach zero.
Can I drive through water?
No. Water, steel and brick block tanks, but shells fly over water. Bushes can be driven through and hide tanks under them.
